The menopause is the natural process of the ovaries gradually begin to shut down and go into a dormant state. All women and people with ovaries will go through it at some point in their lives- symptoms can range from hot flushes and nightsweats, to low mood, anxiety and bone aches. For many women and people going through gynaecological cancer treatment however, they can be put into an overnight early menopause from surgery, chemotherapy or hormone treatments.
