NAYOKA OWARE [00:00:10] Hello and welcome to day two of the London Tech Show by CloserStill Media held at Excel London. I’m Nayoka Oware hosting for Disruptive Live. And today I am joined by Alexandre Schneider, who is the CTO and co-founder of askR.ai. Alexandre, welcome.

NAYOKA OWARE [00:00:28] How are you doing?
ALEXANDRE SCHNEIDER [00:00:29] I’m very good thank you.
NAYOKA OWARE [00:00:30] Good wonderful. I’m glad that you’re here speaking to me. How are you finding the event so far?
ALEXANDRE SCHNEIDER [00:00:35] It’s good. It’s a good event. We we did a good, good meetings and good demonstrations. So that’s very nice at this time.
NAYOKA OWARE [00:00:43] Wonderful. I understand that there’s a demonstration taking place at your stand so we’ll talk about that a little bit more later on. But tell us for now what your job role entails and who askR.ai Is.
ALEXANDRE SCHNEIDER [00:00:55] So. Well, first of all, askR is the first data assistant. So it’s it’s the link between the databases, the business databases and the final decision maker. And most of the time, I mean, the non-technical decision maker, it’s you, it’s me. And thanks to askR, you can simply ask your business question in plain english directly and get an immediate answer. What are my sales yesterday? Then I have my my chart or my indicators. It’s a new way of doing and handling data in professional life.
NAYOKA OWARE [00:01:36] Well, that’s great to hear, because in this day and age we like rapid responses so there is no delay with that. So that’s great to hear.
ALEXANDRE SCHNEIDER [00:01:43] Absolutely. And and this is important to understand that askR takes into account the conversation because this is the way the human brain works. You know, you ask a question, then you refine your question. You ask, what are the sales? But I would like to precise just in London, just for the store, just for this activity. And then you have to take into account all the conversation. And it’s just it looks natural for you, for me. And this is what askR does.
NAYOKA OWARE [00:02:12] Thank you for that. How did you come up with the name askR.ai?
ALEXANDRE SCHNEIDER [00:02:16] Well, you know, most of the time when I don’t know something, I ask to my wife. So askR looks natural to say ask to a wife, to my wife, to to to a lady, you know. So askR is probably a lady.
NAYOKA OWARE [00:02:30] Thank you for that. I’m glad to hear that also. It makes perfect sense. There’s a demonstration taking place at your stand. Can you tell us more about what’s going on there? Because you weren’t able to bring anything over so tell us exactly what’s happening.
ALEXANDRE SCHNEIDER [00:02:44] Well, the demonstration is about chatting about on data. So we have we have a demonstration database based on the retail dummy data. And so you can simply chat and ask for your perfomance as a store manager, for instance, and directly tie up or speak your question and and discuss, literally discuss with askR. So which is very impressive, to be honest. And we had a wonderful feedback from from people that we meet. I recently received a message this morning send it saying that this is the best product I’ve ever seen on this show, you know, so that’s that’s very exciting.
NAYOKA OWARE [00:03:34] Now, this product, is it a voice response or is it a written response? Is there a screen on it?
ALEXANDRE SCHNEIDER [00:03:40] Yeah. This is that there is a screen and you can contact askR on any communication channel you are using. So are you using WhatsApp, for instance?
NAYOKA OWARE [00:03:49] Yes I am.
ALEXANDRE SCHNEIDER [00:03:49] Yes. So you can contact you can contact askR on WhatsApp. So you can contact you can contact her on Microsoft teams, on Slark, on Facebook Workplace or directly text your your question. So most of the time this is something that people are appreciating because they don’t have to learn a new software. We believe that the best user interface is no user interface at all.
NAYOKA OWARE [00:04:20] That’s new. That’s new. I’m glad I mean, I’m already impressed by the product. So can you share with us some client success stories? Because I’m sure there are many.
ALEXANDRE SCHNEIDER [00:04:29] Well, I think about a famous success story in the retail space. We have a customer called Decathlon, the famous sports stores. And now, since they have put in place askR, every store manager in the world can just ask for their perfomance directly to this new colleague, to this new virtual colleague. So they simply connect and then chat with askR asking what was the best product last week or et cetera. That’s that’s kind of a question and they are asking a lot of question, believe me.
